Education
University Experience: • Gained knowledge on structural mechanics – static and dynamic systems, as well as completing several calculus courses. Additionally gained knowledge in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Introduction to control loops, modern control theory, programming in python. CAD programs such as SOLIDWORKS and Ansys. • Industrial experience involving hands on training in electrical wiring, gas & TIG welding, soldering and artisanal experience of heavy-duty machinery such as lathes and milling machines. • Lastly, gained knowledge in the field of aeronautics as my elective course. This course included the creation of a remote-control aircraft that competed in a competition.
Work & Experience
My role at the company over the two periods consisted of the following: • Servicing of parts namely front & rear wishbones, steering arms, radiator, replacement of antifreeze and engine oil. • Removed and installed several body panels of the vehicle. • Involved the design process of designing a new brake duct for the vehicle. The tyres of the vehicle had increased in dimension in which led to modifications of parts related to the wheel. • Placed under the head designer and tasked to create CAD drawing of plates and fittings for the roll cage using Autodesk Inventor software. This included either designing new or modifying the existing parts. • Tasked to manufacture certain parts such as window rails and roll cage plates using lathes and milling machines.
• Managing of all employees and oversee their tasks. • Oversee all stock control between warehouse and store. • Involved in the financial aspects. • Maintenance/repairs of butcher machinery as well as computers.
