I obtained my undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics with distinction and received a merit award for academic excellence. This is a triple major degree where I developed a range of skills across the three disciplines. My Philosophy modules focused on ethics, African philosophy and the philosophy of science. In Politics my focus was on International Relations and the Global Political Economy. Additionally, I took both Macro and Microeconomics in first year and then focused solely on Macroeconomics until third year. I also took two years of statistics where I worked with software such as Excel, R-studio and SAS.
I obtained my honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics in 2023. My honours thesis on the ethics of using AI weapons in warfare was published in Springer and I had the honour of presenting my paper at the 2023 SACAIR conference. In terms of my course work, my Philosophy courses focused mostly on political philosophy. In Politics my focus areas were mainly around global trade, financial crises and supply chains. In Macroeconomics we covered a range of topics including Monetary Policy, the global political economy, public economics as well as Macromodelling where we modelled shocks to the economy using Matlab (software).
