GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

  • The winner must be a registered candidate on the GradconnectSA (Pty) Ltd (“Gradconnect”) platform (available at www.gradconnectsa.com ) with a complete profile. A complete profile includes, but is not limited to, details such as the candidate’s degree, work experience, skills, and a CV that has been uploaded to the platform.

 

  • The winner must have initially registered on the Gradconnect platform via social media sites, specifically Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or LinkedIn. The winner’s registration on Gradconnect must be linked to one of these social media platforms.

 

  • The winner must have between 0 and 3 years of corporate or post-graduate work experience in order to be eligible for the giveaway. This experience must be reflected in the candidate’s profile on the Gradconnect platform.

 

  • The winner must meet any other eligibility criteria specified by Gradconnectsa. These criteria may include but are not limited to, factors such as age, location, or other requirements as set forth by the company at its discretion.

 

  1. GIVEAWAY MECHANICS

 

  • The giveaway prize consists of R1000.00 (One Thousand Rand), which will be awarded every 15 days, at the sole discretion of Gradconnect. The frequency and timing of the giveaway may be adjusted or altered by the company at its discretion.

 

  • To participate in the giveaway, candidates must actively participate on the official Gradconnect social media channels on the following platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. By commenting on these channels, candidates will be eligible to enter the giveaway.

 

  • Participation in the giveaway is contingent upon the candidate engaging with the official giveaway posts on Gradconnect’s social media channels, as directed by the company. Specific instructions or actions, such as sharing a post or tagging others, may be required for participation as specified by the company at the time of each giveaway.

 

  1. PRIZE CLAIMING PROCEDURE

 

  • To claim the prize, the winner is required to share the next giveaway video or notification provided by Gradconnect on their social media story/stories. The shared story must remain live for the full 24-hour duration of the platform’s story feature without being altered or removed.

 

  • In the shared story, the winner must explicitly mention that they have won the Gradconnect giveaway. This acknowledgment must include details of their prize and serve as an endorsement encouraging their followers to participate in the giveaway.

 

  • The winner’s shared story must comply with any content guidelines or requirements stipulated by Gradconnect, including proper tagging of Gradconnect’s official social media accounts and adherence to any specified text or hashtags.

 

  • Failure to fulfil the above requirements within the specified time frame may result in forfeiture of the prize, at the discretion of Gradconnect.

 

  1. FOR EXISTING CANDIDATES ON THE PLATFORM

 

  • Existing candidates who are already registered on the Gradconnect platform (www.gradconnectsa.com) are eligible to participate in and win the giveaway, provided they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Clause 1.

 

  • To claim the prize, existing candidates must fulfil the following conditions:

 

  • Platform Review: Leave a review on the Gradconnect platform, detailing their experience with the service.

 

  • Social Media Sharing: Share the next giveaway video or notification provided by Gradconnect on their social media story/stories. The story must comply with the conditions outlined in Clause 3, including remaining live for the full 24-hour duration and explicitly acknowledging Gradconnect and the giveaway.

 

  • Gradconnect reserves the right to verify compliance with the above requirements before awarding the prize. This may include checking the posted review and the shared social media story for adherence to the stated conditions.

 

  • Failure to meet these requirements within the specified time frame may result in forfeiture of the prize, at the discretion of Gradconnect.

 

  1. PRIZE NON-TRANSFERABILITY

 

  • The giveaway prize of R1000.00 is strictly non-transferable and may only be claimed by the individual who has been selected as the winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

 

  • The prize cannot be substituted, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, alternative goods, services, or any other form of compensation.

 

  • Only the verified winner, as determined by Gradconnect, is entitled to claim the prize. Any attempt to assign or transfer the prize to another party, whether through agreement or otherwise, will render the prize claim null and void.

 

  1. WINNER NOTIFICATION

 

  • The winner will be notified via direct message on the social media platform through which they participated in the giveaway. The message will include details about their selection as the winner and instructions for claiming the prize.

 

  • The winner must acknowledge receipt of the notification and respond within 24 hours of the message being sent. The response must include all necessary information or documentation requested by Gradconnect to verify their eligibility and process the prize claim.

 

  • If the winner fails to respond within the specified 24-hour period, they will forfeit their claim to the prize. In such a case, Gradconnect reserves the right to select an alternate winner or to withhold the prize at its discretion.

 

  • Gradconnect may, at its discretion, require additional verification of the winner’s identity, eligibility, and compliance with these Terms and Conditions before awarding the prize.

 

  1. RIGHT TO MODIFY OR CANCEL

 

  • Gradconnect reserves the right to modify the terms, mechanics, or conditions of the giveaway at any time without prior notice. Any such modifications will be effective immediately upon being made and will apply to all ongoing and future giveaways.

 

  • Gradconnect retains the sole discretion to cancel or terminate the giveaway at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to technical difficulties, insufficient participation, or unforeseen circumstances.

 

  • The company may extend the duration of the giveaway, including altering the frequency or timing of prize distributions, without prior notification to participants.

 

  • By participating in the giveaway, participants agree to abide by any modifications or decisions made by Gradconnect under this clause.

 

  1. GENERAL TERMS

 

  • By entering and participating in the giveaway, all participants, including the winner, grant Gradconnect the irrevocable right to use their name, likeness, and any related social media content (including their shared posts or stories) for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes. This usage may include but is not limited to, publication on Gradconnect’s website, social media platforms, and other marketing channels, without additional compensation or notice.

 

  • Gradconnect and its affiliates shall not be held responsible for any technical malfunctions, errors, delays, or other issues that may affect the administration of the giveaway, including but not limited to problems with social media platforms, internet connectivity, or Gradconnect’s platform services.

 

  • Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gradconnect, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the giveaway, except where such liability is expressly prohibited by applicable law.

 

  • By participating in the giveaway, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

 

  • This giveaway and its Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from the giveaway shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.

 

  1. DISQUALIFICATION

 

  • Participants may be disqualified from the giveaway at the sole discretion of Gradconnect for any of the following reasons:

 

  • Engaging in fraudulent activity, including but not limited to creating multiple accounts, providing false information, or tampering with the giveaway process.

 

  • Failing to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions outlined herein.

 

  • Exhibiting inappropriate, offensive, or abusive behaviour during or in connection with the giveaway, including interactions with Gradconnect staff, affiliates, or other participants.

 

  • Gradconnect reserves the right to verify the eligibility and compliance of any participant at any stage of the giveaway. Participants found to be in violation of the terms may be disqualified without notice.

 

  • In the event of disqualification, the participant will forfeit any claim to the prize. Gradconnect reserves the right to select an alternate winner or withhold the prize entirely, at its discretion.

 

  • Decisions regarding disqualification are final and binding. Participants agree that Gradconnect is under no obligation to provide an explanation or entertain appeals in the event of disqualification.
